Bellagio
Conservatory and Botanical Gardens
I must admit that the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is my
most favorite Vegas attraction. Changing regularly, the Conservatory is
a beautiful oasis of flowers and color on display. Often themed to the
time of the year, you'll be amazed with what the staff has created.
I never skip
a visit to the Conservatory whenever I'm in Vegas -- you don't have to
be a gardener to appreciate this display! This attraction is open 24/7.

Fountains
at the Bellagio
Offering choreography
to 28 different pieces of music, the Bellagio's foundtains take center
stage in the hotel's beautiful man-made lake. Bursting 240 feet in the
air, these jets of water forms loop, curves and twists, creating a live
piece of art set to music.
If the show
is on while we're stuck in traffic (a common occurance) on Las Vegas Boulevard,
we'll roll down are windows and enjoy. Another vantage point is atop the
Eiffel Tower at the Paris, but you'll have to pay admission.
I love Con
Te Partiro (Time to Say Goodbye), by Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman,
but my most favorite has to be the theme from the Pink Panther.
Check out
the Bellagio website for a listing of music. Fountain show schedules are:

Lion
Habitat at the MGM Grand
Vegas has the habit of throwing things at you when you least expect it.
Who'd a thought you'd stumble across some lions in the middle of a casino?
Welcome to
the Lion Habitat at the MGM Grand. Up to five lions are showcased in this
glass enclosure. It also includes a glass tunnel which you can walk under
and see the lions from that point of view too. This is better than a zoo,
because you're guarenteed to see a lion at a pretty close range.
The Lion
Habitat is open daily, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Masquerade
in the Sky
Seven performances daily, Masquerade in the Sky is a song and dance fest
that culminates with several floats, suspended from the ceiling, parade
above the casino floor. This is always fun as performers will toss mardi
gras beads from the floats. You'll always know when a person has come
from the Rio when they are adorned with several strands of these bead
necklaces hanging from their necks!
Performances
at 3 p.m., 4 p.m., 5 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7:30 p.m., 8:30 p.m., and 9:30 p.m.

Volcano
at the Mirage
The flaming volcano at the Mirage is the attraction that started it all.
People lined up Las Vegas Boulevard on both sides of the street to watch
the volcano explode into a fiery eruption.
Now, compared
to some other Las Vegas attractions, the volcano seems a little tame,
but it's still fun to experience. Daily, from 7 p.m. to midnight, the
Mirage's faux volcano erupts every 15 minutes. Sending sending its fire
100 feet into the sky and transforming a waterfall into streams of molten
lava, it's the best live, erupting volcano outside of Hawaii!

White
Tiger Exhibit at the Mirage
Normally out all day, you can see anywhere from two to five white tigers
resting, playing with each other or in the larger water areas. This attraction
is cool to see once if you're in the area, but not worth a special trip
to the Mirage.
If you're
going to The Mirage, and you like animals, a "must see" is Siegfried
and Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat, especially the Dolphin Habitat.
