Gambling
- Magazines
Can't get
enough of gambling? Here's a short list of magazines that can help you
improve your game or keep you up to date on gambling trends.
All In
They revamped the magazine starting with their October 2006 issue. One
half of the magazine is now dedicated to poker and the other half to blackjack.
If you're interested, I would suggest picking up a single issue at your
favorite bookstore. It's a decent magazine.

American
Casino Guide 2006
This is an annual guide that is in it’s 14th year of publication.
It’s 496 pages filled with information on casinos in every state
and contact information, maps, gaming tips, and best of all, over $1,000
in valuable casino coupons. Okay, they have a lot of coupons that are
probably worthless to you and I, it's that expensive to purchase. If you
just use a couple of the coupons the book will pay for itself. There are
several 2-for-1 dining coupons from Arizona Charlies Boulder or Decatur;
Cannery Casino, Boulder, Sunset, Texas Station and Green Valley Ranch;
Vegas Club; 4 Queens; Stardust; and a few others. There’s also several
match plays, 2-for-1 show tickets, rooms, fun books, and much more.

Bluff
Another good poker magazine. They also have professional poker players
contributing to their columns such as Josh Arieh, Annie Duke, Antonio
Esfandiari, Phil Hellmuth, Men Nguyen, and many more. It provides many
articles on helping your game along as well as other things you wanted
to know about poker.

Las
Vegas Advisor
If you want to keep up to date on what is happening in Vegas, this monthly
newsletter is for you. It is published by Anthony Curtis. You may recognize
the name because he’s been on many segments about Las Vegas (normally
shown on the Discovery Channel).
As part of
the full membership, you get his annual Pocket Book of Values (POV). You
get coupons on accomodations, 2-for-1 buffets, dining, shows, rides/attractions,
match plays and gambling, funbooks, and transportation. If you want to
know the specifics, go to their website at www.lasvegasadvisor.com. You
can get a lot of good and free information from his website. I’ve
been a subscriber for about 8 years now and it’s well worth the
money (usually free when using the POVcoupons).

- The Gambling Lifestyle Magazine (Avery Cardoza’s)
This magazine is more general gambling magazine and covers some of the
happening people and places in Las Vegas. It’s produced semi-monthly.
I personally didn’t find this magazine worth the price tag of $4.99
but if you want to give it a shot it’s sold at Borders or your favorite
book store.
You can check out their website at http://www.cardozaplayer.com.

As the name implies, this magazine is dedicated to slot and video poker
players. If you're looking to find out the latest and greatest on slot
machines, improving your video poker skills, and reading about what's
going on at different gambling destinations, you will enjoy this magazine.
This is a monthly magazine and is $24 for a year subscription. I would
recommend picking up a single issue from your favorite book store. If
you want to go for the year, order it here.
