Getting There

There’s just two ways to get to Las Vegas from Hawaii –- package or ala carte. Here, we’ll give you the differences between the two so that you can choose the right way for you. Email us to tell us about another company you've used!

To help your planning, click here to get a handy-dandy list of hotels/casinos.

Package
Package is nice because you don’t have to think or worry. Depending on the company and package that you pick, you’ll be shuttled to and from the airport in Vegas, your bags will be taken to your room, and you’ll be given meal coupons. Best of all, package deals are probably the best value –- for the price of airfare alone, you can get airfare, lodging and food!

Here are just some of the companies that offer packages to Las Vegas:
Vacations Hawaii
Non-Stop Travel
Hawaii Island Travel, Inc.

Please note that airlines offer packages that include air, hotel and car. Although we did not include them under the package category, please explore this option to see if it meets your needs.

Also, there are a number of travel companies that may use Vacations Hawaii for their Las Vegas packages. These too are not included in this listing.

Ala Carte
Making your travel plans “ala carte” is for you for any of the following reasons:
• You want to stay longer than four or five nights
• You want to stay at different hotels that's not offered by packages
• Las Vegas is just part of your trip itinerary
• You’re using mileage for free air fare

Surprisingly, there are only two airlines that fly directly from Hawaii to Las Vegas with no stop-overs:

Hawaiian Airlines -- Hawaiian Airlines also offers vacation packages via their website. Here, you can book a complete vacation package or just hotel, with over 80 hotels to choose from, make car reservations (Hertz or Alamo), and purchase tickets to many shows and attractions.

Two airlines fly to Las Vegas with a stop-over in California:
United Airlines (stop-over in Los Angeles or San Francisco)
American Airlines (stop-over in Los Angeles or San Jose)

There are some airlines that fly to Las Vegas via some funky stop-overs (e.g. Houston, Texas; Salt Lake City, Utah; and even Newark, New Jersey!), and those are NOT listed here, obviously!

If you’re planning to fly to Las Vegas as part of a multi-city trip, it’s best to check with the airlines for the best flights for you.

To get the best hotel rates, go to your favorite casino’s website and sign up for email promotions. You’ll get special deals throughout the year that are very reasonable, especially during the “off season.” Or, you can check out the package options that the airlines offer.
